On July 7, 2010, Melink presented the idea for a Special Improvement District (SID) for Union and Miami Townships and the city of Milford, Ohio. The plan would includes using federal and state grants to purchase a solar PV system for businesses in those communities.

In January 2010, Melink Corporation received notification from the United States Green Building Council that its super energy-efficient headquarters has earned the LEED Platinum Certification for Existing Buildings.
