The Intelli-Hood controls were installed in an Applebee's located near Los Angeles, California. In an independent energy analysis done by Fisher-Nickel, Inc., the controls were found to reduce the restaurant's fan energy use by more than two-thirds, saving 43 kWh/day.

The Intelli-Hood controls were installed at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. With 16 hoods controlled by 14 Melink Systems, the Institute is saving $130 per hood, per month. Overall, the Intelli-Hood controls are saving the school $25,000 a year.

The Clark Kerr Campus dining center on the campus of the
University of California -Berkeley installed the Melink
Intelli-Hood® Controls in 2006. Energy performance data for
all four controlled fans was collected for 42 days in February
and March 2006. The estimated combined fan energy savings
were about 55%, which equates to annual savings of $4,095.

combination of factors (including magnitude of fan horsepower,
